The Administaff Small Business Classic Announces Woodforest National Bank As Official Bank Sponsor
Woodforest National Bank signs three-year agreement with Houston tournament

HOUSTON (July 21, 2004) – Woodforest National Bank has signed a three-year agreement as the official bank sponsor of the Administaff Small Business Classic presented by KBR, the PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour event to be held annually in Houston. Woodforest National Bank is ranked among the top earning banks in the U.S. and is one of the largest employee-owned community banks in Houston with over $1.4 billion in assets. The bank is a preferred lender with the Small Business Administration.

After a 10-year absence, the Champions Tour is coming back to Houston, to the Augusta Pines Golf Club. This year’s event will be held October 4 – 10, 2004 and will be broadcast on The Golf Channel. “Woodforest National Bank is excited to support the PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour and we look forward to a lasting relationship with the event,” said Robert E. Arnold Palmer, Raymond Floyd, Lee Trevino, Tom Kite, Ben Crenshaw and John Mahaffey are just a few of the big names expected to play in the Administaff Small Business Classic and compete for the $1.6 million purse. President George H. W. Bush will serve as Honorary Chairman for this year’s tournament. More than 100,000 spectators are expected to head to Augusta Pines throughout the week to catch a glimpse of the 78 Champions Tour professionals.
